Born in Austria in 1973, Michael studied History, Philosophy and Literature in Vienna and Santiago de Chile. He became a journalist in the 1990s and worked for international newspapers, Radio and TV stations before jobbing two years as a Divemaster in Mexico and Kenya. At 30 years of age he started a new career as a pilot and became a Captain of a corporate business jet, flying celebrities and business leaders all around the world. Michael is married to the former news presenter and psychotherapist Tiba Marchetti and is the father of two grown up girls. He loves to be out in nature. Together with his wife Tiba he walked the whole length of the 3000km Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand.
